When you are involved in an auto accident, it is very difficult to think clearly. When you have been severely injured, decisions could be made by others that will ultimately affect the outcome of said accident, but if you are able to walk and move around ,there are some things you should do in the event of an accident. Please review these things and have them  firmly in your mind so that in the event you are involved in an accident  you will have trained your mind as to what to do.

First, use your smart phone to take down the insurance information from any other vehicle involved in the accident.

Second, use that smart phone once again to record the names and contact information for any witnesses to the accident.

Third, take photos. Photos of the scene, before vehicles are towed, are very important. Don’t forget to take photos of the road. Are there any tire marks? Where is the debris from the other vehicles as well as your own? Was the road wet?

Fourth, take pictures of any of  your own injuries and any injuries of the passengers in your vehicle.

Fifth, see a doctor as soon as possible.
