In the spirit of Administrative Professionals’ Day, I wanted to take the opportunity to brag about the great team of administrative professionals we have here at Rooney & Rooney, P.A., and acknowledge that not all are as fortunate as us.

Our Administrative Professionals range from our Receptionist, Accounts Receivables, our Legal Secretaries, our Paralegals and finally, me as the Office Manager. We are very proud of the team we have been able to put together and enjoy coming to work every day to be around intelligent, hard-working, positive people. We have always placed a keen focus on ensuring that our work environment is pleasant for everyone here. We want to enjoy coming to the office and believe to have proven that happy employees are loyal employees.

That being said, in the course of what we do, we see several employment matters where the employees are not as fortunate as we are here. It is always disheartening to see employers take advantage of their staff members by belittling them, harassing them, either sexually or by making defaming statements, assaulting them or even committing battery against them. While it is discouraging to see this type of behavior in our community, it does give us hope to be able to assist these injured employees in their pursuit of justice. We are always happy to meet with people who have been subjected to this form of harassment in the workplace and our wonderful administrative professionals would be delighted to schedule a consultation with one of our attorneys free of charge in order for these employees to know their rights and hopefully gain the feeling of being empowered.
