This past week, I was presented with the following question from a potential client calling the office: “Do I need an attorney when a complaint was filed against me with IPN or The Florida Board of Nursing?”
With most legal matters, you do not need an attorney in the sense that the law requires you to have one. However, our recommendation would most often be that you certainly should have an attorney.
At Rooney & Rooney, P.A., we represent several clients who have dealings with IPN or the Florida Board of Nursing. Some clients have trouble getting their application for Registered Nurse licensure approved due to an inaccuracy in their background check or a mistake in their application. Other clients have received complaints against them that are unfounded and those will need to be cleared up.
We can assist with approval of RN licensing related to obtaining it as well as keeping it if the threat of revocation is lurking.
While these matters can be handled without the need for an attorney, we would recommend consulting with one before embarking on this journey on your own.
